Meet Grace – Behind the Chair at Lux Lox
Grace’s journey at Lux Lox is one we’ve been proud to watch grow. After graduating from Paul Mitchell in Temecula, she continued building her foundation through the Lux Lox Residency Program, where she advanced through hands-on salon training, weekly model experience, mentorship, technical skill building, and guest experience development. Throughout the program, Grace stood out as a top performer through her consistency, professionalism, coachability, and care for each guest, earning her a role as Salon Assistant while continuing to grow behind the chair.
Now building her clientele under her brand, Gracefully Slayed Hair, Grace brings great energy, professionalism, and genuine care to every appointment. She is outgoing, funny, and easy to talk to, while still being thoughtful about communication, comfort, and the final result. Guests can expect a welcoming experience with a stylist who listens, cares, and wants each client to leave feeling confident and beautiful.
Grace M.
Grace has been drawn to beauty from a young age, from styling her Barbie dolls’ hair to experimenting with makeup. For her, beauty is more than appearances, it’s about helping people feel their most authentic, confident selves. Behind the chair, she’s known for her lighthearted, compassionate personality that balances fun with professionalism. Grace creates a welcoming environment where guests can relax, be themselves, and always leave feeling positive.
Currently, Grace is most excited to refine her skills in coloring and haircutting, areas she fell in love with during cosmetology school. Guests can expect honesty, attentiveness, and a tailored experience, whether they’re looking for a fun chat or a quiet, stress-free appointment.
Outside of the salon, Grace finds joy in the outdoors, whether hiking, playing sports, fishing, or enjoying time at the beach. She also has a passion for fashion and food (always on the hunt for new restaurants, but picky with seafood!) and dreams of traveling the world. Her curiosity, openness, and genuine interest in people make her easy to connect with and a joy to spend time within the chair.
Now Accepting Select Models for Advanced Residency Services
Grace is currently accepting select models as she continues through the advanced portion of the Lux Lox Residency. At this stage, Grace offers regular paid services for many foundational salon services, while model opportunities are reserved for advanced services she is currently refining through educator-guided training and hands-on experience.
Select model appointments are offered at a reduced Residency model rate and are based on Grace’s current advanced training focus, service fit, hair history, hair integrity, timing, and educator guidance. Because these appointments are designed for advanced skill refinement, not every request will be selected, approved, or scheduled.
Select advanced model opportunities may include:
– Hair extensions
– Advanced blonding services
– Dimensional color
– Creative color transformations
– Advanced toning or glossing services
– Advanced corrective color, when appropriate
– Advanced haircutting or transformation services, when applicable
Model Requirements:
To help create the safest and best advanced training experience, please review the following before submitting a request:
– Model services are training-based and may take longer than a standard salon appointment
– Model selection is based on hair history, service goals, hair condition, timing, and current Residency training needs
– Blonding, corrective color, creative color, extensions, and transformation services require healthy hair and may not be suitable for all color histories
– If your hair is box-colored, color-treated, heavily lightened, damaged, chemically treated, previously corrected, or currently has extensions, please include that on your form
– Extension services may require a consultation, color match, deposit, hair purchase, and additional product or supply charges
– Additional product charges may apply for very long, thick, dense, or product-intensive hair
– Models must be available for the full appointment block and understand this is an educator-guided training environment
– Model appointments are for guests 18+
– No guests, children, or additional visitors may attend model appointments
