Meet Meagan – Resident Artist at Lux Lox
After recently relocating with her husband to Southern California from Utah, where she began her career behind the chair, Meagan joined the Lux Lox Artists’ Residency as a thoughtful next step in her professional growth. With previous salon experience and a genuine love for hair, she is continuing to refine her skills, strengthen her confidence, and build on the foundation she already has as she begins this new chapter of her career. Her current focus is growing in cutting and dimensional techniques while continuing to build through guided education and training-based model work.
Meagan B.
Meagan has wanted to be a hairstylist since she was young. Growing up styling friends’ and family members’ hair, she developed an early love for the creativity, beauty, and connection that hair can bring into someone’s life. Today, that same passion continues to shape the way she approaches her work behind the chair.
Right now, Meagan is especially excited to continue growing in cutting and dimensional techniques. One of her favorite parts of working with models is being able to apply new skills she is learning while continuing to build real experience behind the chair.
Behind the chair, Meagan would describe herself as friendly, organized, and happy. She values meaningful conversation and works to help guests feel comfortable from the beginning of the appointment. For her, a positive experience starts with warmth, clear communication, and making sure each guest feels heard.
During an appointment, models can expect a thoughtful approach that begins with evaluating the current state of the hair, talking through goals, and creating a clear plan for how to move toward the desired result. Meagan wants guests to feel included in the process and confident that everyone is on the same page before beginning.
What drew Meagan to Lux Lox was the opportunity to gain the experience and education that would help prepare her to become the best stylist she can be. She is grateful to be refining her work in a more intentional and supported environment as she continues building her career in Southern California.
Outside of the salon, Meagan loves all things beauty, travel, shopping, food, and movies. She enjoys getting to know the people in her chair and believes those shared interests are part of what make appointments feel personal and enjoyable.
Through training-based model services in the Residency Program, Meagan offers warm, thoughtful appointments shaped by communication, care, and continued growth behind the chair.
